faq

Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.  It is a work in progress, but hopefully this will answer a couple of your questions. 

1.  What do I need to do in order to get started?

Contact us! :-)  That's it.  We can get you a custom quote and walk you through everything step by step.

2.  Do I need to have a domain name/web address?

I recommend to all of our clients to register your own domain name through godaddy.com or yahoo.com or any of those types of sites, so that YOU are the registered owner and YOU receive the important emails when it comes time to renew your domain name.  Also so that in case the name you want is already taken, you can keep searching for the next best name for your web address until you find one available.  We can certainly help you through this process though, as well as help you determine the best name if the one you really want is already taken.

3.  How soon will my site be up and running?

The answer to this depends on a few things.  First, how detailed your answers are to our questionairre.  The more detailed, the faster we can get to the design that is absolutely perfect for you.  Speedy communication from yourself during the design process also speeds up the process.  Once a design is started, most are finalized in two days up to two weeks.  Some more detailed designs take a little longer.  Once you give us the "thumb's up" on the final design, we start coding everything.  Within a couple days you are given access to the admin tool to start putting your content in.  We continue to customize and work on your site while you are as well.  Once you have the content all in and ready to go, we get your site live.  The entire process can take three weeks up to a couple months, just depending on those things.


4.  Where do I print my Business Card Design created by you?

We can create your business card graphics (as well as any of the other print services we offer) to any specifications for any printer you want to use.  Here are some of the printers chosen by our clients: www.vistaprint.com www.48hourprint.com  (my fave)


5.  How do I figure out what sized banners I need? 

The best way to determine the size for the three banners included in your web design package, is to go to a couple websites in which you want to or may want to advertise online with.  There are a few standard sizes, but it seems all sites want a different size or total file size requirement.

6.  Do I send you all my pictures and information for the site?

While we are working on your design, you can start preparing your pics and wording.  Once your site is all coded, we will get you access to the site to start entering all this info in through the easy to use admin tool.  We provide written instruction as well as unlimited support through email and even pre-arranged conference calls if needed through out this entire process.

7.  What should I start preparing for this process while waiting for my design to begin?

You can start gathering all your product pictures along with pricing, descriptions, and other info.  As well as start writing the content you want on your informational pages.  Such as terms and conditions, or shipping information, about us page, etc.

8.  How long is your wait list?

At the most our waiting list has been 8 weeks- usually less!  We work really fast, and the fact that we are a design team of two, that means we get more work done faster than most.
